Awareness

Mindfulness practice helps us to live each life moment with presence, with attention to everything that emerges moment by moment, with an open exploration attitude, with curiosity to “what is here an now”, with an kind and non-judgmental attitude towards ourselves and others.

“Mindfulness is paying attention in a special manner: intentionally, to the present moment and without judging”

Jon Kabat-Zinn, 1994

This definition includes 3 principles of mindfulness, quoting Saphiro et al in “Mindfulness mechanisms”, 2006:

Intentionally” or INTENTION

“Paying attention” or ATTENTION

“In a special way” or ATTITUDE

Intention Attention Attitude

These principles are the bricks from which other things emerge, attention, intention and attitude are interconnected areas of a unique and cyclic process that is produced simultaneously. Mindfulness is this moment-by-moment process.

In Mindful Growth (Crecimiento Mindful) we take this principles as the spine of our programs and courses. We intend to bring mindfulness practice to people with integrity to these principles, facilitating and walking along with people in the process of introducing mindfulness in their everyday lives.

Using mindfulness in our lives as an attitude, tool and practice, mindfulness can help us to…

  • Approach live with more energy, understanding and enthusiasm
  • Learn to use internal resources for stress reduction on diverse life situations
  • Improve our focus and attention day by day
  • Develop resilience, the capability to recover and have a more effective response from challenging events and changes in life
  • Relate with ourselves and others in a kind, compasionate and conscious manner, generating a kind context and environment around us

“Experience the Good, absorb the Good and replicate the Good in all we do”

Rick Hanson
